Gold Coast, October 2026 —MAYD has craned a Porsche GT3 Cup Car more than 19 storeys onto the rooftop of ONE Burleigh, its flagship beachfront development, in a high-profile motorsport activation delivered in partnership with McElrea Racing ahead of a major Gold Coast event weekend.
The developer lifted Queensland driver Tim Farrell’s Porsche GT3 Cup Car from ground level to the rooftop of the Burleigh Heads development, positioning the race car against the backdrop of the Gold Coast coastline.
The activation, captured in a series of images and video footage, showcases the scale of the operation and its oceanfront setting, bringing together two industries closely associated with the Gold Coast: premium beachfront property and elite motorsport.

The rooftop installation places the spotlight on ONE Burleigh ahead of the project’s anticipated completion in the first quarter of 2027, while generating a presence for the developer in the lead-up to a major motorsport weekend.
ONE Burleigh Nears Completion
Positioned on The Esplanade at Burleigh Heads, ONE Burleigh comprises just 17 full-floor residences, averaging approximately 381 square metres each.
The development has attracted attention for its tightly held residential offering, including a penthouse that achieved a reported $30 million sale in 2026.
The project represents a significant addition to the premium beachfront residential market on the Gold Coast, with the Porsche installation providing an unconventional showcase for the development using its rooftop position and oceanfront setting.

MAYD Advances Gold Coast Pipeline
The activation comes as MAYD advances its broader development pipeline along the Gold Coast coastline, including its recently unveiled North Kirra Precinct.
The developer acquired the 4,742-square-metre beachfront site for $32.5 million in a transaction reported as the Gold Coast’s largest property deal of 2025.
Designed by Cera Stribley, the proposed precinct will comprise 81 residences across 10 levels, including five double-storey beach houses. Plans also include direct beach access and an extensive suite of wellness-focused amenities.

Stage One is anticipated to be completed in early 2029, extending MAYD’s presence into another prominent coastal location.
Together, the projects highlight the developer’s focus on premium residential offerings that draw on their beachfront settings, with ONE Burleigh nearing completion and North Kirra representing a longer-term addition to its pipeline.
McElrea Racing Prepares for Home Event
For McElrea Racing, the rooftop spectacle also marks the beginning of an important weekend on home soil.
Harri Jones is in contention to secure the 2026 Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia title, adding a competitive dimension to the partnership as the team prepares for one of the Gold Coast’s major event weekends.
McElrea Holdings Group Company Director and Manager Andy McElrea said the team wanted to mark the start of its home race weekend with a spectacle worthy of one of the Gold Coast’s biggest events.
The collaboration with MAYD brought that ambition to life, with the Porsche elevated above Burleigh Beach in a setting that placed the race car, the coastline and the surrounding high-rise development landscape in the same frame.
For MAYD, the installation offers a way to draw attention to ONE Burleigh while reinforcing its growing presence across the city’s coastal development market.
