Sherpa Property Group is moving ahead with plans to enhance its Gold Coast portfolio, having submitted a development application for one of its recently acquired sites. Known for successfully completing 11 projects on the Gold Coast in the last six years, the property developer is focusing on a boutique residential development at 107 Stanhill Drive on Chevron Island, marking the first of three projects in its expanded pipeline.
The development is designed to include 10 apartments across three levels, offering a mix of villas, river residences, and penthouses at the heart of Chevron Island. Pending council approvals, construction on the 1710sqm site is expected to begin in Q3 2024. Sherpa aims to tap into the sustained demand for premium luxury residences in the central Gold Coast region.
The Chevron Island development is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of the next year. The development application highlights a design featuring four ground-floor villas, four river residences, and two two-storey penthouses. The North-facing, riverfront site will also include marina berths, a first for Sherpa’s Perspective brand, likely appealing to the boating community due to its proximity to the Broadwater and ocean.
Designed by HAL Architects, the development prioritizes spacious interiors tailored for the downsizer and owner-occupier market. The apartments will consist of a minimum of three bedrooms plus a multi-purpose room, with penthouses offering four-bedroom residences.
Christie Leet, Founder of Sherpa Property Group, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating,
“This is one of the best sites on the coast, and it’s a great addition to the Sherpa brand. We are excited to be progressing our plans for this site by lodging the development application ahead of the Christmas break.”
Leet emphasized the project’s intimate design, well-suited for Chevron Island and catering to a sophisticated yet private lifestyle. The residences will include a three to four-car lock-up garage, addressing the strong demand for such amenities in Sherpa’s recent projects.
Sherpa Property Group anticipates an official market launch in the first quarter of the next year. The Chevron Island development follows the success of Sherpa’s recent Gold Coast projects, including Perspective Broadwater at Biggera Waters and Perspective on Albatross at Mermaid Beach. Sherpa’s acquisition of three prime sites, including a 915sqm site in Labrador and a 17ha site in Terranora, reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Gold Coast region.
