Kirra is set to transform yet again, with Sydney based developer Pyco Group submitting an application for a 13-level luxury apartment tower in the heart of vibrant Kirra Beach on the Gold Coast.
Pyco Group is gearing up for stunning project that involves reshaping a strategic corner plot situated just a stone’s throw away from Kirra Beach. The ambitious plan entails the construction of a 14-story tower comprising 97 apartments. Pyco’s strategic move involves consolidating four distinct sites—10 and 12 Churchill Street, 17 Miles Street, and 51 Winston Street—culminating in a spacious 2,044 sqm canvas for their visionary project, aptly named “Kirra Beach Residences” in the submitted planning application.
Ascending to a height of 13 levels of apartment living, the tower then culminates on the 14th floor at the rooftop level. Among the envisioned 97 apartments within, the majority comprises 79 expansive 3-bedroom units. The remaining 18 units feature a combination of 2-bedroom layouts, encompassing 12 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and an additional 6 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a versatile multi-purpose room.
Encompassing a generous 623m2, the tower will boast communal open spaces and amenity areas tailored to offer residents a diverse array of recreational experiences. The ground level is thoughtfully designed to host an expansive and interactive landscaped communal recreation space, fostering a positive connection with the streetscape outside. At this level, the development features an elevated pedestrian entrance and a communal recreation deck. This communal zone comprises a pool, landscaped area, barbecue and dining space, lobby, and a resident’s wellbeing centre, complete with a gym/yoga room, sauna, and media room, ensuring a connection with the surrounding streetscapes and a lifestyle element for the tower’s residents.
The planning application states the tower will bring much needed housing options for the area and will contribute to housing choice and affordability in Coolangatta.
