In a move to elevate luxury living along the iconic coastline of Burleigh Heads, MAYD Property Group has lodged a minor application for their premier multi-residential project, “One Burleigh,” located at 1 Second Avenue. Renowned as Gold Coast specialists, MAYD Property Group is set to redefine the residential landscape with their latest development, offering 16 lavish full-floor units that boast unparalleled views of the spectacular Burleigh Beach area.

The original proposal, submitted in 2021, envisioned a 17-storey apartment complex featuring two mirrored apartments per floor up to Level 12, with five single-level suites occupying Levels 13-17. While initially denied by the Gold Coast City Council, approval was later granted by the Planning and Environment Court on August 26, 2022, for a development permit encompassing 30 units.

Undeterred by setbacks, MAYD Property Group has forged ahead with a new minor application, presenting an updated plan and design tailored to the exquisite location. The 809sqm corner block site at 1 Second Avenue will now undergo a transformation, with adjustments aimed at enhancing the project’s luxury appeal and reducing site intensity.

Key changes proposed in the revised plans include:

  • Each floor accommodating a single unit, as opposed to the original two-unit layout.
  • A reduction in the total number of units from 30 to 16, emphasizing exclusivity and spaciousness.
  • A decrease in the total number of bedrooms from 92 to 64, ensuring a more refined living experience.

In collaboration with MAS Architecture and Mim Design, the project is described as a peerless collection of bespoke full-floor residences, “One Burleigh” promises meticulous craftsmanship and an unrivaled coastal lifestyle experience. Spanning just seventeen floors, the development epitomizes exclusivity and sophistication, offering residents a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the essence of Burleigh Heads’ renowned beachfront.
