Murcia Residences by Sarazin is the latest residential project launching right in the heart of the Woolloongabba 2032 Summer Olympics precinct, in Brisbane, Australia. The project is being launched by the Drive Property Group, in conjunction with Sarazin, which marks their fourth launch of luxury residential apartment projects in the transforming precinct.
Located on the corner of Wellington Road and Overend Street, Murcia by Sarazin aims to offer a contemporary and stylish living option to its residents. The development consists of a collection of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4- bedroom apartments, designed to cater to the needs of modern urban dwellers. Designed by HAL Architects, the project will feature an in-vogue Spanish/Mediterranean pallet, with soft terracotta colours along with citrus and olive tree inspired landscaping throughout. There is a feature breeze block aesthetic to the facade of the building, with a striking colour contrast against the Woolloongabba skyline. Lush planting will surround the dual entrances to the apartment tower, which will also feature retail options at the base of the residences.
Spread across 21 levels and 187 apartments, the luxurious residences are expected to feature modern amenities, functional layouts, and high-quality finishes. The interiors will feature stone benchtops, wine fridges, timber flooring, dual bath and shower rooms, along with stunning views from resident balconies. Murcia will feature a collection of large 4-bedroom and penthouse level options, with the Brisbane luxury apartment soaring with interstate buyers wanting to now call the ‘River City’ home.
Murcia’s true high point will be it’s rooftop oasis, featuring a large infinity pool facing the Brisbane CBD and Gabba Stadium, two magnesium pools, steam room and sauna, along with cabana zones and BBQ areas for the residents of the tower to enjoy year round. WILDStudio have been brought in to design the landscaping areas, who are specialists in the design and delivery of luxury rooftop spaces in Brisbane.
Sarazin’s Queensland director Adam Rainbird spoke of the project’s unique design set to transform Woolloongabba further.“We’re excited to bring something different to life with Murcia. It will be a community that will be tightly held because it is quite unique – a place you’ll be proud to share with your friends and family. A place you’ll never want to let go.” he said.
Woolloongabba is a vibrant and sought-after suburb in Brisbane, known for its convenient location and urban lifestyle. It offers easy access to the city center, major transportation routes, and a wide range of amenities, including shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment options. The area is also home to notable landmarks such as The Gabba Stadium, which hosts Cricket and Australian Rules Football matches.
Murcia sits within the Woolloongabba Priority Development Area (PDA), which has been earmarked for major transformation after the announcement of the 2032 Brisbane Summer Olympic Games. The zone is now under review as part of the Brisbane Inner Strategy, which has idenitied various areas within Brisbane to assess the regions plans for growth. Woolloongabba sits in a rare location, 3.0km’s to the CBD, and has been relatively untouched for decades as a low-set light industrial area. Along with the announcement of the Cross River Rail project, which is currently under construction, the area surrounding the Gabba Stadium has become a major point of emphasis for both the State Government, and the Brisbane City Council, as an area that can lead the way for urban renewal and growth.
The Sarazin Group have been developing the iconic Silk precinct recently, close by to the Murcia site location. The three towers of Silk are benefited from direct views into the Gabba Stadium, and will feature a retail and dining laneway precinct dissecting Stanley and Trafalgar Street’s.
