“The vision was to create more than just a resort; it was about crafting a premier experience on the Fraser Coast,” said Rhonan O’Brien, MODE’s Principal.

“Every aspect of the design, from the sail-like glazed facades to the cascading balconies to the resort- style recreation decks, is meticulously planned to enhance the connection with the surrounding environment. We have taken care to ensure that many of the apartments and hotel rooms offer stunning views of the Coral Sea and Hervey Bay, including Fraser Island.”

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, a defining member of the Marriott International family, is in advanced discussions to manage the resort’s 223 opulent rooms. Should the partnership come to fruition, Sheraton Hervey Bay will stand tall as the epitome of luxury hospitality in the region, setting new standards of extravagance and comfort.

Adding to the excitement is the appointment of design luminary Jamie Durie as the project’s ambassador, tasked with crafting an enchanting recreational area that promises to be the talk of the town. It has been reported that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been inked between Sheraton and developer Sunny Beach Land, marking a significant milestone in bringing this visionary project to life.
