Kokoda Property, the esteemed luxury property developer, has revealed plans to introduce Queensland’s inaugural Kimpton Hotel into its Skyring Terrace project, in collaboration with the renowned global hotel and hospitality leader, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG).

Nestled on a coveted parcel of land along the iconic Brisbane River, the Kimpton Hotel is poised to become an integral component of the Skyring Terrace project. This visionary $1.5 billion endeavor by Kokoda Property encompasses a dynamic blend of luxury residential offerings and mixed-use spaces. The development will feature neighborhood amenities, residential apartments, warehouse-style lofts, innovative co-working areas, premier dining and beverage establishments, retail spaces, and the reinstatement of a beloved community center.

Redefining luxury accommodations in Brisbane, the Kimpton Hotel will showcase approximately 155 meticulously designed rooms and suites, including an exclusive marquee suite tailored for celebrities and VIP guests. Staying true to Kimpton’s global acclaim for exceptional dining experiences, the hotel will house a 200-plus-seat signature restaurant and bar on Level 14, as well as a spa with multiple treatment rooms, a fitness center, and 618 square meters of versatile meeting and event spaces, all capitalizing on Brisbane’s tropical climate.

Positioned for unparalleled waterfront access and panoramic views, Kimpton will feature an awe-inspiring infinity pool overlooking the Brisbane River and an al fresco Garden Terrace bar. Guests will revel in breathtaking vistas, whether admiring the expansive water views or the picturesque Brisbane city skyline.

The anticipated collaboration with IHG represents another stride in solidifying Kokoda Property’s presence in the Brisbane market, bolstered by the backing of a globally recognized brand.

“The Kimpton brand was the ideal choice for, and will be the centrepiece of, our striking Teneriffe development. The brand’s lifestyle centric positioning, design and playful guest experiences will fit perfectly into this exciting and unique pocket of Brisbane.

“We’re excited to play a part in the transformation of the historic suburb of Teneriffe from its industrial origins into one of the trendiest suburbs of Brisbane. It’s a popular year-round hub for fitness and is set to get even better with Skyring Terrace to connect Brisbane’s famed riverwalk between Teneriffe and New Farm and become the cultural heartbeat of the lively area.”

Cameron Burke, IHG’s Director of Development for Australasia & the Pacific, expressed enthusiasm for bringing this unprecedented hospitality offering to Brisbane’s riverfront, in collaboration with the Kokoda team.

“Kimpton has an ardent global following amongst the lifestyle-led and socially inclined, which will resonate strongly as part of the Skyring Terrace precinct and within Brisbane’s luxury hotel market. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Kokoda Property in pursuit of our common vision to elevate the hospitality space in South-East Queensland.”

The Kokoda Skyring Terrace project has been designed by the award winning architectural form Cottee Parker. Construction is slated to commence in 2025, with a projected completion date of 2028.
