Queensland-based developer Bastion Group has expedited its $140 million Chevron Island ‘Nera‘ project following the successful completion of on-site demolition. This marks a significant milestone in the project’s timeline, with demolition officially concluded to pave the way for the construction of Nera.

Alex Wood, the developer of Bastion, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating,

“The completion of demolition marks an exciting step forward in the delivery of Nera, and we look forward to seeing our vision come to life. We have spent a lot of time ensuring a project of this scale was deliverable in the current climate, and we are proud to today be closing the chapter on the first major construction milestone.”

Bastion is wasting no time in moving the project forward and is already in the process of negotiating early works, just weeks away from Nera’s official market launch. The early works are expected to commence in the coming months for the visionary 28-storey collection of residences, consisting of 87 luxury apartments featuring an array of lavish rooftop amenities. These include an infinity pool, wellness spa, top-tier fitness center, exclusive dining area, sky lounges with fire pits, and a dedicated yoga platform.

Bastion Group, a private consortium of diverse Australian and international experts in residential development, is leading the Nera project with bold ambitions inspired by global thinking.

Construction is scheduled to commence in Q2 2024, with an overall completion target in Q2 2026. The development application (DA) approved project is currently undergoing a minor revision with the council and is set to be released to the market in the new year. Bastion Group, led by a diverse team of Australian and international experts, remains committed to enhancing Southeast Queensland with high-quality, luxurious residential projects.
